No Rise Cinnamon Buns

Ingredients

Dough
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons baking powder
  • 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup Becel® Plant-Based Unsalted Bricks, at room temperature
  • 1 1/2 cups non-dairy milk
Filling
  • 1/2 cup Becel® Plant-Based Unsalted Bricks, at room temperature
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 4 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon ground cardamom
Icing
  • 3 tablespoons Becel® Plant-Based Unsalted Bricks, at room temperature
  • 1 cup icing sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2-3 tablespoons non-dairy milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350F. Grease a 9x12 baking dish.
  2. Combine the flour, baking powder and sugar. Work the Becel® Unsalted Plant-Based Bricks into the flour using your finger tips until mealy.
  3. Pour in the non dairy milk and stir with a wooden soon until a shaggy dough forms. Knead the dough in the bowl until. Smooth dough forms.
  4. Transfer dough onto a lightly floured surface then roll into a 12x14 rectangle
  5. In a bowl, combine the filling ingredients and stir until a smooth mixture forms. Spread mixture on the surface of the dough
  6. Starting at the longer side, Roll dough into a log
  7. Divide the log into 12 equal parts and arrange them in the baking dish, roll side up.
  8. Bake until golden brown and cooked through, about 25 minutes. Let cool.
  9. Meanwhile, make the glaze by whisking Becel® Unsalted Plant-Based Bricks, icing sugar, vanilla and non dairy milk together. Add more milk if necessary to reach desired consistency.
  10. Drizzle glaze over buns once cooled, serve.
