Potato Gratin

Ingredients

  • 500ml Cream of Choice
  • 2 Garlic cloves, finely chopped
  • 100g Dairy Free Becel Plant Butter - Unsalted, melted
  • 1.25kg starchy potatoes like Maris Piper
  • Salt, Pepper
  • fresh thyme leaves

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C fan.
  2. Mix Cream, Dairy Free Becel Plant Butter and garlic in a jug until combined.
  3. Peel the potatoes and slice them thin with a Mandolin.
  4. Add a little of your cream mixture in your baking dish.
  5. Spread one layer of potato slices, add cream mixture and season with salt, pepper and some fresh Thyme leaves.
  6. Repeat until all potato slices are used.
  7. Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes or until the potatoes are soft in the middle.
  8. Remove foil and bake for another 20 minutes until golden.
