Ingredients

For the Miso Buttery Base:
  • 1/2 cup Dairy Free Becel Plant Butter, Unsalted
  • 1 tbsp white miso paste
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
For the Toppings:
  • 2 tbsp honey or agave syrup
  • 1 tbsp fresh chives, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp fresh curly parsley, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup toasted seeds (pumpkin, sunflower, or sesame seeds)
  • 1/2 tsp chili flakes
  • 1 tbsp toasted sesame oil
  • 1 tsp flaky sea salt

Nutritional Guidelines (per serving)

(Nutrition information is calculated using an ingredient database and should be considered an estimate.)

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix the vegan butter with white miso paste, lemon zest, and until fully combined and smooth. If the butter is too firm, let it soften at room temperature for a few minutes.
  2. Spread the Miso Butter
  3. Using the back of a spoon, spread the miso butter across a wooden board on parchment paper in a thin, even layer, creating swirls or waves for texture.
  4. Add the Toppings
  5. Drizzle vegan honey or agave syrup generously over the spread.
  6. Sprinkle the fresh herbs (thyme, chives, parsley) evenly across the board.
  7. Scatter the toasted seeds on top, adding a bit of crunch and nuttiness.
  8. Add a sprinkle of chili flakes for a touch of heat (optional), and drizzle the toasted sesame seed oil across the butter for an extra layer of flavor.
  9. Sprinkle the flaky sea salt over everything for a salty contrast.
